Guardian Mold Testing is a small, local business that helps families feel comfortable and informed about moisture and mold conditions in their homes. We’re hiring a reliable, detail-oriented Field Services Assistant to support simple on-site tasks during residential inspections.

This role is ideal for someone looking for steady, flexible, meaningful part-time work.
No previous experience required — we provide full training.

Once fully trained, you’ll be able to handle certain appointments independently using our clear step-by-step process.

🌿 What You’ll Do

At each home visit:

  • Document key rooms and areas with clear photos

  • Use simple inspection tools (training provided)

  • Collect and label samples using a straightforward checklist

  • Take basic moisture readings

  • Draw a simple room layout

  • Record sample identification numbers

  • Follow a consistent inspection routine

Your role focuses on collecting accurate information to support each inspection.
All analysis and client communication is handled by the lead inspector.

🌿 Pay & Hours

  • $28/hour

  • Paid from the moment you leave your home until you return

  • 3-hour minimum pay per workday, even if the home visit is shorter

  • Typically 9–12 hours/week to start

  • Flexible weekday daytime schedule (varies with bookings)

  • Occasional discretionary bonuses for excellent client feedback

  • All work is local (Santa Barbara, Goleta, Carpinteria, and occasionally Ventura)

🌿 Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A reliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

  • A smartphone capable of taking clear photos

  • Comfort entering different homes

  • Ability to lift/carry small equipment (10–15 lbs)

  • Weekday daytime availability (9–12 hours/week)

  • Ability to follow structured steps and checklists

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
